Advice reg work issue

Hi, need advice. Work in office with 4 others. One year ago ond person was with was unhappy in our office and made nasty comments about me to head of department. Saying I was lazy, made the person feel unsafe. Complete lies. Investigation took place as you'd expect (have no problem with investigation) found she was lying she ended going to another department. I see this person every so often and I can't get over what they did. I try hard not to think about the person or what they did but it really hurt. I absolutely despise this person. Any tips on getting over this, it's been a year now

Should add they made the allegations because they did not want to with in our department, wanted to move to finance!

You say the person went to another department. Was it Finance? If so it would seem as though they were rewarded for their behaviour which was investigated and found out to be untruthful.

All you can do is hold your head high and get some satisfaction from knowing that the other person will have notes on their work file that show questionable behaviour/false allegations. Does your workplace offer a mentor service or counselling as part of your HR package? It might help to talk out your feelings in confidence with a professional to learn how to put this behind you.

If this was a year ago, what has made it an issue today OP?

It's always been an issue.. Think I'm bored of feeling how i do
