3rd interview

I haven’t slept all week I had a 1st interview I came out felt it was excellent got called back within 30 minutes for a 2nd interview the next day this was last Thursday. Thursday afternoon got a call for an informal coffee to meet the team tomorrow. I’m so nervous. It’s a small team but such a fantastic opportunity. I know there were 2 other candidates from my agency that didn’t get call backs to the 2nd stage. I doubt I will sleep tonight I just can’t get over the anxiousness. I’ve been looking for another job for a year and never got this far before. Some people think it’s mine and the coffee is just a formality. The team I’m meeting I will be managing and they are very junior compared to my experience. I’m looking forward to meeting them all but I’m worried about what I’m up against. I’ve just had a vodka tonic to settle my nerves but the feeling in my gut is awful. I’ve never wanted a position so badly.

Try and be yourself. You cannot control what other candidates do! I’m sure you will do well. Relax and have a cocoa!

Went ok am stressing so much main interviewer said she had 1 more interview however I am not sure I’d I believe her. We go on holiday tomorrow for 4 days and I’d rather have just known one way or another now I feel it’s just handing over me like a lead balloon. Que Serrah serrah!

Good luck with it all and try and enjoy your holiday. Often saying they have one more interview is just to avoid having to say 'we're all going to get together now and discuss whether we all like you before offering you the job' .

I had this the other day, they said at the interview 'we have other people to see so we'll let you know within 3 days if we'd like to invite you to a second interview'. The invite was emailed to me 10 minutes after I left the building!
It all sounds extremely positive for you, and even if this role is not for you, being invited to a third interview where many didn't make the second one means you clearly are an attractive prospect as an employee.

I would make a plan to keep applying for other suitable roles when you get from holiday. Reduce the massive weight of expectation on this one job. It honestly won't be the only opportunity in the world even if it feels like it now. Been there, done that - believe me if they don't give you the job after dangling you by a thread for effectively 3 interviews (which is overkill!) then it wasn't right.

Main thing, forget about work, just enjoy your time off. Act like you don't care

I only got the bloody job!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe it!! Handed in my resignation after signing new contract. I have that genuine proud feeling. I feel like I’m actually going forwards and that 2020 has my name on it :)
