The letter of application must be no more than two sides of A4.

A job I'm very excited about and can quite literally tick every box.

The advert says "the letter of application must be no more than two sides of A4." It also says your letter of application should address the requirements of the Job Description and Person Specification.

Normally, I'd go through and make sure I have a few lines to cover off every point but in this case, the person specification is 2 pages long and the Job Description is more than 7 pages. So how do I do that?!

Anyone with any advice, I'd really like this job!

I'd use the person spec only, as this is most likely how they'll shortlist.

Is it broken into headings - skills, experience, attitude etc? Allow yourself a paragraph per heading and make sure you use the language of the person spec in your narrative. Try to use 'for examples' that cover multiple points.

Yes, thank you cocking up, that's what I'm trying to do but I'm finding that the multiple point examples also go over multiple headings, so I'm concerned that whilst I have covered the ares, it might not get a tick, as it's under the wrong heading iyswim.

Could use one example to cover multiple person spec points. So if asked about communication and then another point asks about stakeholders then use a example when your great communication skills won over a difficult group of stakeholders? How many person spec points are there?

Yes, I've done it as a free form letter in the end rather than bullet points for exactly that reason, otherwise I was covering all the points but under the wrong headings.
