Redundancy when Pregnant!

So... I am 5+3 and just been told today that the company i work for is probably going to be insolvent by next week and we won't be getting our monthly pay on Monday! I fly on Saturday to Croatia for a week, after changing our holiday through all the Thomas Cook drama! This week has been so stressful. I'm trying not to get stressed and too emotional as concerned about baby! But very hard not to! I have no idea what I'm going to do about employment! My company is great and love the team and worked my way up to a good position and was happy working there until bubba arrives!

Has anyone started a new job early pregnancy? And told new employees about being pregnant? I'm so worried and concerned financially now. We were meant to be seeing mortgage advisor when we came back from holiday. Sorry for the long rant! Just so worried! 😓😓

Technically you don't need to inform your employer until you are 20 weeks.

What it means is that you are unlikely to benefit from anything more than statutory mat pay, though/

@highinthesky so that means I won't get the 90% pay for 6 weeks? Is that correct? I'd just start on the basic maternity rate of £148.68 a week? Such a mess. Wonder if anyone else has been in the same boat. I've been there two years. So will only get my month I've worked which they owe me and two weeks redundancy, and hopefully my fuel allowance. Just a waiting game for money.
