CV Writing when you've never had a proper job

Can anyone offer any formatting/wording advice on how to create an honest CV when I've never had a proper job and I've no idea if I can get any references from volunteering/uni supervisor as I'm on a LOA at the moment.

Format it in the usual way...loads of examples online. Instead of employment, you list your voluntary positions. Make sure you write plenty about what your responsibilities were.

With regard to refs...find that out immediately. If you can't get them from volunteering positions, put down a character reference.
