Where I work, we have bonus targets on revenue, profit and personal objectives. For the last 2 years we've had a tough time financially so no bonus has been paid on revenue or profit (fair enough, the targets were clear, and we didn't hit them).
We have just had this year's targets shared with us. We have 3 seperate targets, each equating to 4% bonus if we hit them, so max 12%.
I've just checked my contract though, and it says we will have bonus targets totalling 16%.
Can this just be changed, willy nilly, or am I right to query/question this?
