So here it goes. I work in care and support adults with challenging behaviour I was at work and found out the grapevine that a colleague was having problems with a client I support. I phoned this person up to check if they were ok and they were very upset I then phoned my manager to inform her the colleague was upset and they said it was being dealt with. I then find out that I’m having a meeting the following week to discuss my un professionalism as I shouldn’t of interfered and took it upon myself to get involved. My defence was that the colleague was supporting my client and I thought I could help. I currently on sick with sick note before I knew about this meeting with nerve damage. What I want to know is can this meeting go ahead as I’m unable to come into work and can they suspend me whilst I’m on the sick.
