Sick note dates

If my sick note says unfit for work from x date to y date, is it the y date I return to work or the day after this?

Day after I would think you are unfit for work between and including those dates although I would just clarify via email with your employer to be certain.

I recently had to ask my doctor about this (not had sick notes for a long long time) and the dates are the inclusive period that the note applies. So if yours says unfit to work from Day 1 to Day 10 you would return to work on Day 11.

The dates on the note are inclusive. I just got one the other day. Its dated until 20th so it covers me on the 20th and I'll go back on 21st
