Looking to retrain. I messed up the end of my degree last year. See previous posts. After waiting to do a resit I'm pretty sure I don't want to go into social work. My employer has offered to fund a masters. I work with complex health needs. However this year I've had a change of manager and all my empathy and compassion has been completely and utterly drained. I feel like an empty husk where a caring person should be.

I was looking at other courses and this one appeals. I love crafts and creating. I get the impression I won't have much contact with patients. I wouldn't mind working alongside people or small amounts of contact with patients.

However when I've been trying to find job specs there doesn't seem to be a lot of jobs. Is this a dying industry? Are there part time positions available? What kind of progression is available?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
