Inspired by some of the MN threads (thank you, ladies ), I emailed a local market research company today to enquire about transcription. To my delight they have let me know that they are interested in using me. I would very much appreciate some guidelines from anyone who buys or sells MR transcription services as to how much I could state as my rate. I don't want to look either greedy or stupid when I email them!
I am a trained BBC subtitler with a very good keyboard skills, so I would expect to get through interviews pretty quickly. I am based in the Frozen North.
My DD is recovering from a serious illness, so I need to be at home for at least another year ideally. Nursery could put her back a long way , so any help would be very much appreciated.
