Occupational health assessment

I'm in the process of completing pre employment checks for a role within the civil service. I was in a CS role until June of this year - fixed term appointment that ended, and the new role is with a totally different department.

Today I had an email from the people doing the vetting asking when my OH assessment was, and if it hadn't been arranged, to ring the OH people, which I did.

I'm panicking a bit, I didn't have an assessment with the last job - I'm visually impaired and will need some adjustments, which the last department made no problem. New employer is aware of this and has been from the start.

Why are they calling me in for an assessment? Please reassure me they just want to get everything in place and aren't going to suddenly withdraw my job offer based on it!

It will be to check what adjustments you need, don't worry about it.

Don't worry, it's standard procedure.
