DBS Application and Addresses as Graduate.

Hoping for some advice on behalf of my son who has recently graduated and is now in the process of filling in a DBS application as part of a job process.
As he has been at uni for 4 years does he need to provide the addresses for all of the different places he has lived over that period ( assuming he can remember them all ), or should he put down his main place of residence as home during that time? TIA

All addresses. Otherwise a full check cannot be completed correctly.

Thank you Blastandbollocks.
Just wondering how they can complete full checks on these different accommodations since some were halls of residence, others flat shares? Assuming there will be no bills in his sole name to check at any of these addresses either.
? Also during this period he was actually living at home for large chunks of the year. I moved in the last 12 months and as he has been at uni I did not put him on the electoral register at my address as he was not living at home full time.

It looks at criminal records, so if the police have recorded that X person was arrested at Y address which was their home at the time then that will appear on their record (as I understand it - prepared to be told that this is incorrect!).

All addresses. Including parents' address if he was back to yours in vacations. He;ll need to download the continuation sheet! Doesn't matter if he was on the electoral role or not.

Some students will put:

10 High Street, Watford (which is their parents' address) Sep 2012 - Sep 2019

Brook Hall, Universit y of Bradford Oct 2014 - May 2015
Carr Hall, University of Bradford Oct 2015 - May 2016

or whatever.

If he is in ANY doubt then pick up the phone and call the DBS helpline. Changes at the start of August mean they are no longer querying or checking forms which have the address section completed incorrectly. They are simply rejecting the application and you have to start over. And pay another fee. Please please get him to call. They are very helplful.
