Got another interview...

when they phoned they said, don't worry the interview will only be about 1/2 hour. The last interview was an hour long. So what do you think I can expect in a 1/2 hour interview?

It's difficult to say without more info. This is a second interview for the same job? What type of things did they ask you first time? Will you be meeting different people?

No, it's a first interview for a different job, it's in a school but it's finance, which is the sector I worked in for 15 years. I went for an interview for a different job and that took an hour after which I was shortlisted but missed out on the job. So am wondering, given that it is in a school whether it's only 1/2 hour because they've already got someone lined up for it. And don't really know what to expect.

Don't know about already having someone lined up but maybe they only have limited timeframe for multiple interviews (I imagine school has tight timetable). You should prepare around job description so main thing is to consider how you would answer "Why should we give you this job?" Oherwise always worth preparinganswers to negative questions (weaknesses, things you've failed at etc. as always harder to answer IMO). Specifically around schools I can't answer as have no experience.

Thank you Albus, have prepared with those kind of questions in mind, so this makes me feel a lot happier.

Have you had the interview yet and how did it go?

Sunshinemummy · 08/08/2007 11:01

Am Albus BTW.

Friday, not got the nerves yet, (always have them the night before) but as I've had a good week to prep (and my hols are looming shortly after) feel fairly relaxed. Speak to me tomorrow night and it might be a different story!! Thanks for asking.
