Present for nursery nurse

My dd is about to leave the baby room at her nursery and go to the toddlers. Her carer in the baby room has been wonderful and I would like to get her a gift. I don't know her personal tastes so it needs to be something general - any nursery nurses here who can tell me what they like to get from parents (or more importantly are there things you hate to get)

Mog,

Depends on how much you want to spend, but cinema tickets or a token from M&S go down quite well.

We got ours one of the really nice Body Shop gift sets, they are so nice, smelly, yummy, look nice, and come in all different sizes for different budgets.

I've no experience of this but since I've been looking after dd my hands are in a right state, so I'd suggest a really good jar of luxury hand cream! (

As a daycare worker or just me in general I love getting gift certificates to a nice restaurant. Maybe enough to eat out with my dh or a friend.

As a teacher to say don't buy ornaments or jewellery because people's tastes are never the same as yours. Chocalates are OK - depeneds how many you get. I think you can never go wrong with smellies or wine. At least if you don't like them they are easy to pass on to other people as pressies!

OPPS I meant to say... As a teacher I have to say... (am trying to breastfeed at the same time as typing)
