Waiting for outcome! Argh!

I interviewed for a position I really want (that's putting it lightly). The interview was last week and I knew they were interviewing at the start of this week and looking at tests yesterday. So apparently people will hear mid week which I imagine is now

Still not heard anything and it is literally all I can think about. I suppose it's not knowing the outcome!! I'm chewing my hand off trying to resist the temptation to enquire.

How soon would you all say is appropriate to make contact?

I'm in the same boat except I interviewed on Monday, went really well and I had a test which I had to email yesterday. I've heard nothing, not even an acknowledgement and I don't know if they're interviewing others.

I was in this situation a while ago. I kind of knew that I didn't get the job when I hadn't heard anything about a week after the interview.

In the past when I have been offered jobss I've generally heard back v quickly.

It seems they keep the other candidates waiting until 1st choice has accepted the job offer, before letting them know they've been unsuccessful.

Horrible process I know.

Thanks everyone. If I've not heard by end of tomorrow I'll have to ask how it is going regarding decision making.

I'm literally losing my marbles now though. At least I'm not the only one waiting...I hope you get the outcome you hope for!

Did you hear anything in the end @bakedbeanzontoast?
