Has anyone lost their job due to a misunderstanding and got it back?

I won't outline events. I want to know if genuine misunderstandings (when no-one is in the wrong) can be mended after contact is terminated.

Generally, employers are not your friend

They require their employees to;
Turn up early or on time
Fulfil the requirements of their job role efficiency
Dress appropriately
Take breaks & holidays
Communicate affectivity
If all these occur, you receive payment

In time,
If you are lucky, you may receive some; positive feedback, opportunities for progression, but this may take time.

It also depends what sort of job you do

You really need a job reference from your old employer for your CV

How's the job hunting going ?

No matter how lovely the work, no matter how lovely the people, your employer is a different entity with different goals and different expectations. They are NOT your friend, your support network, your shoulder upon which you can cry.

They will not repay loyalty with loyalty.
They will not be sympathetic aunties with cups of tea.
They will not be cuddly teddy bears.

When you stop doing the job, or indicate that you require more from them than they are giving you via the contract of employment, you will find that they are actually that faceless entity with no humanity.

You can't go back just because you haven't found something better. In fact you can't go back full stop.

I don't understand why you were crying and shaking. Has everything got too much and it's coming out in odd ways?

What else have you done (work wise) and we can work out what is worth applying for. There are a lot of jobs out there.
