I had a civil service job interview at the start of July for an admin assistant role. It is the last step in the recruitment, no second interviews or anything like that.

They said they were contacting people on 17th / 18th July. However it's a week down the line and I've heard nothing, no calls on mobile or landline, no email and no update on the civil service applications page - still saying status is invited to interview.

Do I assume they've contacted the successful candidates (there were several roles), and are awaiting them confirming they are accepting the job before contacting unsuccessful candidates? Or would they contact everyone at the same time with a yes or a no?

I know they say no news is good news, but I'm starting to think no news is just a no!

I would contact them and ask

They will release the results at the same time for everyone as it's a matter of uploading the scores and then govt recruitment service presses GO!!

CS recruitment is notoriously slow, I wouldn't worry. Last job I applied for they haven't even sifted over a month after the closing date, and the one before they released the interview results 6 weeks later than they anticipated.

They might also have had late interviews rearranged which have delayed things.

I'd give them a nudge.

Thanks @Isleepinahedgefund that's made me feel so much better! I will give them a nudge if I don't hear back by Friday Grin
