career change what to do?

Don't want to name change.

Due to various changes in my home life etc I am rethinking that side of things and though I wanted to change career this may become more relevant soon as I may be supporting family by myself. This may change but unsure.

I'm a PA/EA for over 20 years and legal secretary for past 7 years and also temporary contract EA/PA for past 2 years. I've done this as it works well round childcare and also I wasn't overly keen on getting a permanent job straightaway - had jobs in smaller companies especially law firms and found this trying at times though I worked at 1 firm for 5 years.

I've been applying and looking online and it seems like PA/EA work is getting more scarce, even legal secretarial work lots use voice recognition. I wanted to retrain to be a paralegal as apparently legal secretary with paralegal skills are sought after but now wondering if it's not worth doing this.

So what do I do? feeling really down about this.

Join the club, I'm applying for all kinds of jobs at the moment, I need to earn £30k so it's hard after 20 years working pt/caring! I'm fortunate to have accounts and hr experience, could you gain extra skills, administrators are more in demand

I decided after going home and getting slightly down that I will do the paralegal job and currently applying for a legal sec job at a large law firm.
