Hello
My DSis applied for a job as a legal exec in a big law firm. She had 2 telephone interviews and then a face to face interview. All went well.
She's just had a letter to say the firm was pleased with her and that she is a good candidate to join the firm, and that they will take about a week to decide on the next stage.
Would you take this to mean she has got the job? It obvs doesn't say it explicitly in the letter.
Confused!

No I wouldn't, to be honest it sounds like a holding note and they probably have more to interview.

I'd guess (stress that thus is a guess) that she is their second favourite candidate and will be offered the post in about a week if no1 has turned it down by then.

If it is a large company which recruits regularly, then the 'next stage' might be encouragement to apply for other vacancies about to come up.

Tbh I was thinking along those lines.
Surely after 3 interviews if successful you'd be told if you had the job.

Yes similar happened to me after I graduated. I was apparently 2nd choice but the 1st choice took the post anyway.
