Anyone married to a carpenter?

This is a random question but I can't find any other suitable forums.

I am married to a carpenter who has set up his own firm. It's very up and down and needs to recruit in order to expand.

However all the carpenters he's used in the past weren't experienced enough or didn't have a good work ethic.

He and well we are struggling with being self employed and not knowing the best way to expand the business in order to get work In.

He needs 1 decent and qualified carpenter in order to get anywhere!
He says advertising doesn't work as the people who look for work are probably not experienced enough.
It's a real problem.

Has anyone else been in this position and it's so stressful!

My husband is a joiner and, although wanting to go self employed, hasnt due to this issue. We relocated a couple of years ago and dont know enough people for him to get enough work. Its a real tricky one.

Being self employed is very tricky. Very up and down, and we as partners I feel have to motivate them all the time and keep strong when things go wrong 🤦‍♀️
