New colleague giving incorrect advice

I have a new colleague based in a different country. She’s been brought in to look after clients in her own country and took over one of mine. She has a great personality but took over my project as the company wanted someone else not at my level but more senior. Also they said they found me not v friendly (I am but they’ve always been v formal and didn’t respond to any chit chat). Anyway I asked my colleagues including our newbie a question re her country. She forwarded on an email that covered her region and mine saying she’d answered a similar question. I reviewed it and she has blatantly got the wrong subject matter and given wrong advice for my region. I said I’d replied to the same request but she had got subject matter incorrect and the reasons why. She replied to say she hadn’t got it wrong so I left it (when we met at a F2F with work she said she was open to feedback so thought I was doing her a favour so she didn’t give incorrect advice).

WWYD? Really she should stick to giving advice from her own region and seeking advice from colleagues from another. I worry as she’s been brought in to save the day re my client but knows less about the subject matter!

As long as she knows about the country/region her client (your ex client) is in, why are you worried?

I assume this is the same issue here from a few weeks back, this is the new staff member who got the promotion and is now looking after your ex client?

Hi yes but we are covering global activities and her region represents one country and not the others so she needs to understand she is giving incorrect advice as a consultant- esp the ex client who are quick to ask for people to be removed from their project If she gives the wrong info.
