Awful colleagues causing mental health issues

I work in a small dept. Line manager is lovely.

Earlier this year, l was off sick with anxiety. The main reason behind this was two colleagues who are awful.

Another member of the team has gone off sick with anxiety for fairly similar reasons.

Lovely lovely line manager isn’t fully aware of this. She gets on with the two toxic colleagues and is unaware of their horribleness.

I initially thought that maybe it was just me who was being awkward. But absence of other colleague who is also lovely has made me realise how horrible they are.

Senior line manager has some idea about things as we have return to work interviews with her.

What do we do? A team split down the middle into factions, and line manager who knows nothing about it.

Is it just the 4 of you who report to line manager, or are there others?

I think I would ask senior manager for advice. Line manager can't manage a situation she isn't aware of.

How are the other two colleagues horrible? What behaviours are causing you so much stress? What incidents have happened leading up to you being off with stress? How have things changed since you have been back? Practically (as it's unlikely the two horrible colleagues are just going to resign,) how do you think the situation could be managed with all of you staying in the team? What options do you see?
