Antenatal teacher training

I’m considering training with the nct or similar to teach antenatal groups. Possibly also breastfeeding. Read I’m interested in helping families through pregnancy and early infancy. But really don’t know what might be best way to get into this.

I’ve been out of work for two years with my little one and have had a bit of a bumpy road with my pregnancy etc wanted to help other families. I’m a trained teacher but struggling at moment to get work. Plus thinking of a career change.

Point is it’s expensive to take the course. Not sure I can even remotely afford it. Wondering if anyone has any advice about going down this path. How much I could reasonably be expected to earn. What would be the best route?

Thanks!!

Don't the NCT sponsor some people if there's a shortage in the area? Worth asking
