Sick line advice please?

Hi Mumsnet, my midwife has advised me to visit GP to get signed off with workplace stress. I am 25 weeks right now, baby due mid September. Have been warned that my work can use time off sick as reason to trigger my maternity leave! Is this true? When would the mat leave kick in? I don't want maternity leave to start early as leaves me in difficult financial position and less tone with my baby. Info I have about this is sketchy, don't know what to do who to believe etc. Any advice here please? Thanks very much! Xx

Your employer can start maternity leave if you are absent with pregnancy-related illness from 36 weeks.

Thank you! The link you gave me is a great site, I will be sure to talk to my doctor to make sure they know what to put on my sick line. Xx
