Relieved to get out, not partying! I feel sad though to end like this after about 12 years local govt service. , it's been frosty atmosphere in the office, so I carnt go and celebrate in the pub.
My manager and line manager left around Christmas time. In fact I'm afraid I'm the 10th leaver! I'm glad to get another contract elsewhere.
The current boss took me aside the day before I left to say didn't have time to arrange anything for my leaving, too busy with workload!
I just felt so awkward on my last day clearing my locker, I should have been happy and going for a few drinks!
Awkward moment when I had wine card and flowers given to me, its was so false.
If I'd been one of the' family 'favourites they would have pulled out all the stops, decorating the lifts etc.
I have said I'll join them for a drink at later date, but I won't it's all false.
Honestly I have to say I'll draw a line under it and look forward to my new job. Just not what you think after long service.
