Can I ask for back pay?

Currently challenging the banding of my role, my manager is in agreement that it should be a band higher and we have put together a proposal evidencing this. Assuming it is agreed to can I ask for back pay for the time I have been in that post?

Nothing stopping you asking! I assume your employer doesn’t have a policy covering what happens in the event of re-grading?

If NHS rebanding should be from the point you discussed the rebanding. It can take a while for this to happen though. Recently went through rebanding and it was backdated for three months.
