3 month review tomorrow - how honest should I be?

NC for this one.

I've been with my current employer for just over three months and have my review tomorrow. I'm struggling with the dynamics between me and the two Directors who manage the business. It is their business and they brought me in to manage one of the teams that hasn't been managed for two years. Except, they get involved in every decision, over-ruling any comments or suggestions I make so I'm now thinking, what was the point in hiring me?

I'm not in the UK so I'm getting used to the country dynamics as well, which aren't and haven't been easy, I'm not particularly enjoying my time here (moved for DH job two years ago).

I had good feedback from them on my first month review and they acknowledged they could have done more to support me. Except, they haven't and now I'm fed up. I'm not a pushover but everything I challenge I get shot down, so I'm left thinking/feeling, what's the point?

Anybody else been through this or can give some help on my approach tomorrow?

Remember that HR are there to support the business not the employee. If you can’t manage the situation day to day, start looking elsewhere because it’s unlikely that a review will make two directors change their attitude, approach and management of a more junior employee. Listen, and find out what they have to say first if at all possible- you might learn a lot from what they say

Thanks for your comments PurplePiePete. I know it's not just me as this behaviour has been spoken about by others, but as you say, it's unlikely they'll change. I'm trying to decide how honest I should be about it because they're going to ask how I'm finding it.
