Lump sum NHS payment

I read that everyone at the top of their pay band on 30 March received a lump sum in April pay. This has def happened with my colleagues. Anyway I was at the top of a band 3 on 30 March. I started a new position on the bottom of a band 4 on 1 April. I've not received the lump sum. Does anyone know if this is correct? I've sent a few emails to payroll but they are notoriously difficult to contact! Thanks

Hi, I work in NHS payroll and unfortunately this is correct. The payment applied to anyone on the max of their band on 31st March and who continued to be on the max of their band on 1st April.

I am top band 5 and I didn’t get one. Does it matter I am only a bank nurse?

Thank you for the reply. Wish I'd waited a couple more weeks to start my new job now!

Sorry to hijack this but in other trusts did bank staff not get the payment?
