Son works a weekend job with a major retailer. They informally agreed that during time leading up to his exams he would only work one day a weekend. Company still keeps putting him on shifts for both Saturday and Sunday. He's been to talk to boss who agrees again just one day's work but nothing changes in practice when they're struggling to cope during busy times of year.
Son is now saying he needs to pack in job to focus on studying given that they're not abiding by their initial agreement. It's a 4 week notice period. Can he use any of his holiday leave as notice?
