returning from maternity issues

would appreciate some advice. I have worked for my organisation for a short period when I found out I was pregnant. they weren't happy about it - I was pregnant the same time as others and was treated differently.

I didn't really have any communication whilst on maternity leave until it was time to return back.

A year has now passed and I am in a standalone role. I told the company of my return but theres been no preparation for my return as I have no handover notes despite someone being in my role. Back in a sink or swim situation.

I now seem to have been demotion in my role and aren't being included in meetings. I thought I'd return back to my original t&c

Friends tell me to raise a grievance but I've never raised a grievance before and I don't want to be seen as a trouble maker but I am not happy with the situation just find myself sitting at my desk

what would you do?

Who do you report to? You could ask for a meeting with them.

Did you do your 10 KIT days, how pro-active were you before your return in establishing what role you would be going back to etc?

Like pp said, have you arranged to meet with line manager? You sound very passive, its tough coming back from a year out of work.

I currently have no line manager as he was placed on gardening leave end of last year. I have a interim manager whom I regularly contacted re KIT days but they never came back to me before I came back. I still have no confirmation from my manager in relation to my flexible working or have been paid despite me saying I am coming back. told the company in December / February - returned in April.

I repeatable asked for information but never received anything; it took a week to get access to the intranet system! seems my interim called herself by my job title - its still all over the systems showing her and not me yet! yet we have other interims in the company they are clearly detailed as 'interim job title'. They also closed my email accounts so I have no emails been told this is policy but I know another colleague had to clean out her email account.
Since begin back I have tried to organise 1 to 1 but it's been changed until end of month now due to holidays being told. Just feel they don't want me there
