I'm really interested in becoming a social worker and have thought about it for a few years now. I'm planning on applying to the Step Up to Social Care or Frontline courses later on this year.
I'm currently mainly interested in working in the Looked After Children, Adoption and Fostering area alongside Youth Justice.
Does anyone have experience in this field who could let me know if you enjoy your job, if there's opportunity for flexible working, if there is much direct contact working with children and young people, and just overall your thoughts on the career. Is there much opportunity to progress?
