Does 2 positions in company mean 1 job, 1 employer?

Hi All, can anyone give me any advice please. So I had 2 different positions with 1 employer . Unfortunately I worked out of one of the positions because my manger was a bully . The employer has done nothing regarding the manger and dismissed me from my other position. They are saying 1 job , 1 employer ? Surely I would have 2 separate contracts for the 2 separate jobs ? I have nothing in writing though! 😔
Thank you x

same location / similar part of the business just different duties? Or eg cleaning toilets in Kent and doing bookkeeping in London for same organisation?

Same location, catering in the day and seperare job cleaning in the evening.

Not necessarily, although it does happen. Nothing in writing doesn't help!

But if they've dismissed you, you need to work out whether they are entitled to do that - how long have you worked there?

Princess014 · 02/05/2019 13:53

The first position was 1 just over 10 years , second job was just over 3 years .

And when you took the second job, nothing in writing at all confirming that?

How it is shown on your payslip, separately or all together?

Princess014 · 02/05/2019 19:10

Nothing in writing and on my payslip it was together .

That's one job with two roles I think
