Yippee I have a genuine bona fide teaching job for September - so after 7 years I'm re-entering the asylum.

It's part time Geography, secondary, including some A level so I'm ded chuffed and very proud of myself.....and a weeny bit scared.

All those who advised me not to apply for the classroom assistant job were right - thanks to you all!

Well done, Lucy You must be excited and scared - all at the same time. Am I likely to know the school? I ask because I know a secondary school geography teacher who happens to be going on mat leave at the end of this term...

ahh no that's not my job - I've got a job share - and yes you will know the school it's just up the road from you begins with a P.

it's a bit of a formality but I have to go and teach a lesson for the governors on Thursday so I've been busy in the loft digging out my old lesson plans - it feels as though I've never been away!

tassis - I wasn't sure whether i wanted to go back, but when this job nearly fell through I was gutted, so I guess that's what made me make my mind up. DD2 is starting school in Sept so I would ahve gone stir crazy at home all the time
