there are several of you who I have bored with many a question about my half-academic "career". well I just popped in to tell you I've had my first journal article accepted! I'm totally delighted. finally I have something to put under "publications"!

I'm v jealous.. was thinking about further academic study (MA) while on maternity leave but seems totally unrealistic now. How do you manage it??

I took a year out and did a masters - once dds were at school/nursery. would have been impossible with a tiny. would have ended up trying to be all things to all people and useless to everyone! but I have to say doing a masters when you're that bit older makes it double worthwhile - you savour every minute of it

It's not going to be published til winter 2008! . all those stereo-types about slow-turning wheels are being confirmed. only 2 years after I finished the first version!
