Hi! I’m new to Mumsnets but have heard that you guys give great advice! I have two children aged 5 and 6. I have always worked as a minute taker within the local authority. Like many, we really struggle with balancing the half terms/ summer holidays so I have been looking for a term time only job for quite sometime now. A cleaning role has come up at the university where I live and it’s term time only, school hours and the money is actually pretty good! My problem is that I don’t have any experience in the cleaning field and I am struggling to sell myself. Other than keeping my own home with two children, husband and working too I don’t have much else to offer :(
The job description is fairly vague and really just says that the person must be reliable, trustworthy and flexible and that I know I am.
Has anyone ever been in my position? TIA
