Maternity pay

I currently work 8 hours a week due to having a 19 month old. I've recently found out I'm pregnant again. I earn £285 a month. Does anybody know if I will be entitled to maternity pay/ allowance at all? (UK) and if so, roughly how much?

Thanks in advance

Don't think you'll be eligible for SMP:

To qualify forSMPyou must:

  • earn on average at least £118 a week
  • give thecorrect notice
  • giveproof you’re pregnant
  • have worked for your employercontinuouslyfor at least 26 weeks continuing into the ‘qualifying week’ - the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth

Might be ok for Maternity Allowance:

In the 66 weeks before your baby’s due, you must also have been:

  • employed or self-employed for at least 26 weeks
  • earning (or classed as earning) £30 a week or more in at least 13 weeks - the weeks do not have to be together
