I’m handing in my notice at my work tomorrow, I work in a hairdressers so it’s a really small team and the managers aren’t the most professional, they generally let whatever they’re feeling really set the atmosphere for the day and seem to think it’s everyone else’s job to manage their emotions. This all makes me think that they’re going to take it really badly, I’ve been looking to leave for about 6 months but I didn’t let on out of fear I’d be sacked, so it will seemingly come out of nowhere to them, I’m also their only full time stylist at the moment (except one of the owners who is a hairdresser) so I really expect them to rip into me. I’m handing it in on the evening when work is finished so as not to ruin the day for everyone else, and I’m giving the full notice period agreed in my contract.
Please give me tips to keep my cool and not get too emotional about this! I’m usually the least confrontational person in the world so this has been keeping me up at night! Thank you x
