i sent in an application form a few weeks ago and haven't heard anything back.should i ring them or just leave it? they weren't advertising for staff,i just got it off their website.does anyone know if they only employ at certain times of year and if so do they keep your application until a job comes up? (assuming they want you)

don't work for woolies but would say give them a ring to follow it up - see what they say - ask for a meeting if possible to get your foot in the door. Good luck.

Yes, I work for Woollies.

They are being really tight on taking new staff and giving current staff extra hours ATM. The best time to apply is a couple of months before Christmas, although I have heard a rumour that they won't be taking on any extra Christmas staff this year. If they do, I don't think they will keep your application, you should reapply.

My guess is that if you haven't heard anything yet, you aren't going to. There is no harm in giving them a ring though to find out one way or the other.
