Just been offered a job teaching English at the local school. I do already have a job - I am a freelance web developer (which pays more). But anyway: pros and cons:
pros:
- I would get out of the house, have social contact and I like teaching.
- It would mean I'd be "keeping my hand in" - you never know what might happen with the other job!
- It would give me a chance to practice Spanish.
cons:
- It's only 6 hours a week, but ds (8 months) and dd(2) already go to nursery for 3.5 hours a day every morning. I'd have to get a childminder for these hours and I wouldn't see them so much.
- A childminder would cost about 7E per hour, where I'd earn 8 or 9E per hour. I'd probably break even overall.
That's it really. I suppose I could start keeping them at home 1 morning a week to make up for it.
