Hi there, looking for advice, I work part time two days a week, excluding Mondays, therefore I know am entitled to 11 days per year, therefore when I don't work a Monday and its a public holiday, should I be entitled to take that day off in lieu an other time?

No. You should get 0.4 of the holiday entitlement. If your full time colleagues get bank holidays included in their holiday, you will get 0.4 of all 8 Bank Holidays.

If you worked a Monday as part time you usually have to take it out of your annual leave.

Assuming your full time colleagues get the statutory minimum 28 days a year including bank holidays, your 11 days includes a pro rata entitlement to bank holidays.

If your full time colleagues get more, that’s different.

Assuming we are working on a statutory entitlement of 20 days plus 8 bank holidays (28 days total), you’re entitled to 28/5 x 2 = 11.2, including bank holidays in lieu.

They have to round up the 11 to 11.5, so you’re missing out on half a days holiday, but Friday and Christmas/new year holidays that fall on your normal working days can be deducted from that.

If full time contracts give more than the statutory minimum then you’re entitled to the additional pro rata equivalent on top.
