Subject Access Request

My dh is currently on suspension from work on false allegations.

We were advised to ask for a subject access request as it looks like they are deliberately trying to remove dh from the business.

We finally received (on the 30th day) some paperwork, but there is clearly lots of gaps.

We asked for WhatsApp messages as that’s how a lot of the company communicates, but they have refused saying the people did not give permission. It is a company phone. Are they allowed to do this?

They have to give him copies of his personal data, but not if it is also personal data relating to another individual who has not given their consent. Is it feasible for them to give him WhatsApp messages without identifying other people? Do you know they keep all those WhatsApp messages anyway?

If he is aware of gaps he should write specifying what he feels is missing. Ultimately he could complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if he feels they are not fulfilling the request.
