I was offered a job, and was suppose to start work on 13th. The week before I went away on holiday, the area manager told me that I cant start on 13th and said she'd contact me again to let me know when I can. The next day I rang her up as she hadnt contacted me, and there was a message saying she's gone on holiday. I was annoyed as Ive sorted all childcare out etc and now dont have a start date. Im going to ring her tomorrow as thats when she starts work again to see if I can find out what exactly is going on.
Before when I thought everything was sorted, I was already in two minds about the job, but now with this, it seems very unprofessional and stupid. Ive got noone else to contact as she just gave me her number. Everytime I phone her, its always her voicemail and she never rings back. Im getting really annoyed with it. If I hadnt arranged childcare I would say to her stuff the job Ill work somewhere else. Im not sure whether to still do that and find somewhere else and see if the childcare would be kind enough to hold a place for dd until I find a job, but I think they would be too funny with that. Im suppose to be paying £100 deposit this week for her place as well.
I really dont know what to do. I would like to know your opinions on the situation please. Thanks
