How to ask for a raise

Hi, please can someone advice me on how to word an email asking for a raise?.

I came back to work after maternity leave reducing my hours and taking a paycut of 25%. I work 10-4 at the moment. I used to work 9-5. Whilst agreeing to the paycut and reduced hours, I also asked for more responsibilities with a matching salary as I qualified in a subject relevant to my job.
have been given more responsibilities and my work volume is still the same as before if not more as one of my colleague left a few months ago so have to pick up his work as well. But I am still on reduced pay. How can I word an email without sounding cross with my bosses. I feel so frustrated and upset. Thank you.
