Redundancy notice period

I currently work part time 18 hours in job I have done for a long time 15 years plus. The job is about to be made redundant and. I am just waiting for confirmation, notice period , if they want me to work it. Etc.
I also run a business of my own part time.
Can someone advise me if I am ok to start work elsewhere during my notice period, I.e for another employer and my self employment, given that I am only contracted to work part time.
Sorry If that’s barely legible, it’s been a long week, hopefully someone will get the gist of what I’m asking.

The same restrictions about working outside your employment will continue to apply during your notice period unless your employer agrees otherwise.

However it’s unlikely they’d object to you working elsewhere on your days off, unless it is for a company which is a major competitor or something.

Are there any restrictions in your contract?

Not to my knowledge . I have set days I work, I’m not sure if I want another pt job at the moment, only just getting my head round being made redundant - it’s not even been put in writing yet!
I was concerned about my business really, I do that on my days off, but I am only going to continue to do what I was doing anyway.
Thanks for your help.

If they’re ok with you running the business alongside your employment now, there’s no reason to think that would change just because you are in your notice period.
