I'm thinking of looking at a new career as a School business manager. Anyone have any advice? I've seen a couple of courses but not sure the best way to progress this.

What is your background?

Thanks for the reply. I am the office manager in a local office MPs office. I manage staff and volunteers, arrange meeting (sometimes attending with the MP sometimes representing the MP) I liaise with external agencies, organise events. My work involves speaking to a whole range of people from chief executives , special government advisors to the voluntary sector and constituents from all backgrounds. I think I would need some account/financial training especially given schools are being forced to work as businesses. Really looking for advice on what training/courses to do and what the reality of a school manager actually is
