I’m due to go back to work at the end of feb sad me and my partner have both decided I don’t go back as I want more time with my little one. How do I go about this in regards to informing my employer etc. Any advice would be so helpful. Thank you in advance x

What does your contact say? It would be polite to speak to them in person and then you will need to follow it will a letter.

If you have had more than statutory maternity pay then you will probably have to pay it back.

You just need to resign in the normal way with enough notice left on your maternity leave that you 'work' out your notice period as you finish off your maternity leave. Depending on your works maternity policy you may need to pay back x amount of maternity pay if you received an enhanced amount but if you received statutory then you wouldn't have to repay back anything. Remember as well your final salary will need to include all of the holiday you will have accrued whilst you were off which is always nice :)
