Oh the relief...

Have finally (fingers crossed and holding thumbs) got rid of evil cold stew and microwaved fishfingers nanny. She hasn't worked for me since February, I paid her her final month's salary today.

DD1 says she never wants to see her again but won't be drawn as to why (just gets upset). DD2 hasn't mentioned her since she left.

It has cost me lots of money we don't really have to get rid of her. But it has been worth every penny.

Oh, your poor little girls. I'm so glad it's all over.

Thank goodness. Relieved for you and the girls.

pleased that your children are happy with the decision which in turn must make you very happy

I'd be happier if she left the country, but I suspect she will stay here illegally if she can't find another job. I have done everything by the book, paid her all her maternity pay, one month's paid leave, half of her 13th month and one month's notice. I've also sent her loads of bumph on becoming Belgian - if she applies, she can't be deported.

I just hope this is the end of it all.
