So I started work quite late on in the 'season' a few months ago, I worked at a theme park.
We finished in November and I just received a p45 the other day ☹️. I was really hoping to go back next year, but from what I understand you have to be 'invited' back to work for them, my manager would always make jokes during the last week to us saying 'don't be upset because as of next week you're all unemployed'. But I just wasn't aware that I'd receive a p45, it just seems so final. But then the reason I'm posting is because I'm not sure if that is just like a formality? Obviously if we didn't receive p45s the company wouldn't have a leg to stand on if we were to claim that we weren't getting paid. So it is just a formality? Could I still be re-employed? Or was the p45 final?
