How long?

I had an interview at a school last Wednesday.
At the end of the interview they said “it will probably be tomorrow now that you will hear anything, we’ll be in touch by phone or email”
I haven’t hear anything.
My partner thinks I should give them a call to find out. But I’m not sure.
How long should I wait?

All the schools I've had interviews at recently have been very good about getting back, even though I was unsuccessful. I think it's likely that something has happened to delay the decision - either someone who needed to be involved was ill, or it's been a very tough decision. In case it's the second reason, phoning them now would probably be quite a good move, because it shows you're still interested.

Thanks. I was always under the impression council jobs were quite quick at letting you know what was going on. I’ll give them a call just now
