Pregnant and new job

I just started a new job a month ago and have just found out I am pregnant! I am really pleased, especially as I recently had a mc, however I am so nervous to tell my boss. My job has a 6 month probation period and I am scared they won’t keep me on after with me being pregnant.
Anyone been in this situation?!
Thank you so much x

They'd be pretty bloody stupid to sack you when you're pregnant, unless there is incontrovertible evidence of poor performance/conduct which cannot be linked to the pregnancy... you don't have to tell your boss until you're about 25w pregnant do you need to tell them straight away?

Hi Princess thank you so much for your reply. It’s reassuring what you’ve said, I hope that is the case! I want to tell them in a couple of months as I will have appointments to go to etc and also as I have had a miscarriage before, I want to make sure they can put risk assessments in place.

They can only finish you during probation if you do not perform in accordance with the role.

Crystal I was in a new role a few years ago and I actually felt more secure when I fell pregnant as prior to that they were picking on me and I was afraid of failing that, after I told them I was pregnant I thought they are going to have to have a REALLY good reason to get rid of me now!
